Thank you for your email received by us on 12 February 2018 asking for information about Transport for London’s Finance Committee Meeting that took place on 15 September 2017.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked for the following:

We hereby request, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act 2000, confirmation on whether Transport for London’s Finance Committee Meeting of 15th September 2017 was (a) held in public or private and (b) if any records were taken of those deliberations. In respect of (b), we specifically request (c) copies of any written, audio or video minutes on Agenda Item 4 ‘Taxi and Private Hire Licence Fees’

All meetings of the Finance Committee are held in public. The press and public are only excluded for the consideration of information that is exempt from publication. The public papers are available on our website: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/finance-committee

I can confirm that the meeting of the Finance Committee held on 15 September 2017 was held entirely in public. The paper relating to Taxi and Private Hire Licence fees is available here: http://content.tfl.gov.uk/item04-taxi-private-hire-fees.pdf. The record of the meeting is the Minutes and these were approved at the following meeting and are available here: http://content.tfl.gov.uk/item03-previous-minutes-fc20171018.pdf. Minute 35/09/17 covers the discussion on this item. There is no audio or video recording of the meeting.

In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.

In addressing your request we have noticed that there was an error in the minutes for this meeting. The resolution referred to “supplementary information on the Part 2 paper”. I can confirm that the only paper provided to Members was the published paper and the discussion and decision on this item was taken entirely in public. Please accept our apologies if this has led to any inconvenience. The minute has been corrected on the website and the change will be notified to the Committee when it meets on 5 March 2018.
