Thank you for your e-mail received on 9 February 2018 asking for information about the number of collisions between pedestrians and taxis in 2016.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.

Currently TfL uses the Department for Transport STATS20 category of a combination of taxi and private hire vehicles. In 2016 there were three pedestrians fatally injured by taxi or private hire vehicles in London.
