Re-instatetment of W10 Bus to Crews Hill Station

Request ID: FOI-4444-1718

You asked

Some years back the former train company First Capital Connect reviewed their car parking arrangements on the station approach at Crews Hill Station. They marked out a couple of additional car parking places at the Cattlegate Road end of the station approach and unknowingly encroached on the W10 bus turning circle. The end result was that it was not possible to turn the bus round their without a three point turn and the buses initially ran through to Cuffley empty to turn round. The route subsequently was truncated and turned round by running through the Rosewood Estate, the section through to the Garden Centres and Crews Hill station was abandoned. ETUG has had communication with the current train operator, Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) and Enfield Council asking for two car parking places to be surrounded and the W10 re-instated to terminate at Crews Hill station once again. GTR were happy to explore doing this but Enfield Council were not so supportive. Please provide the paper work/Emails between TfL all parties concerning the truncation of the W10 bus route and subsequent correspondence about it’s re-instatement.
