I would like to know the number of Penalty Charge Notices have been issued in the past 12 months to vehicles entering bus lanes along Tottenham Court Road (code 34J). I believe a similar question has been asked but you cited a case reference IC-69434-N9N7 in which the ICO had upheld your decision to withhold the information.
However, I do not believe this case is comparable because the scope differs. I am asking merely fr the numbrs of PCN wheras the case handled by the ICO asked for the the location of cameras generating gthe most PCN's.
Whereas I can see how a request for specific cameara locations may compromise enforcement; advising of the quantity of PCN's is not the same thing and does not therefore prvide grounds for refusing to release the information.

Thank you for your email which we received on 19 February 2024, asking for information about Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) issued in the past 12 months to vehicles entering bus lane along Tottenham Court Road.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.
Unfortunately, we do not hold the information you have requested. Tottenham Court Road is managed by the local London Authority, not TfL. We are only responsible for the red route network. Please contact the relevant council for your questions about PCNs issued on this road.
