I am writing in regards to the implementation of a reduced speed limit on the section of road outlined above. This section of road is enforced by a average speed camera.
Can you please answer the following:
1. On what date was the camera system installed in the position it is currently
2. On what date did the camera system start to issue tickets for excessive speed

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
On what date was the camera system installed in the position it is currently
The average speed cameras were installed in their current positions in two phases – these works took place on 27th September and 13th December 2023.
2. On what date did the camera system start to issue tickets for excessive speed Enforcement conducted by the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) commenced on 19th December 2023.
