Under the Freedom of Information Act, please can you tell me:
1. Prior to the pandemic in 2019, how many bus routes there were between Hammersmith gyratory and Heathfield Terrace, travelling along King Street and Chiswick High Road? What were the numbers of the bus routes and how many bus movements per day took place in each direction along each route.
2. In 2024, how many bus routes there were between Hammersmith gyratory and Heathfield Terrace, travelling along King Street and Chiswick High Road? What were the numbers of the bus routes and how many bus movements per day took place in each direction along each route.
3. For each of the bus routes above, please can you provide the average journey time travelling in an easterly direction in the morning peak and in a westerly direction in the evening peak.
4. For each of the bus routes above, please can you provide the average journey time travelling in each direction in the following time slots: 10.00 am – noon, noon – 2.00 pm and 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. Specifically you asked:
Under the Freedom of Information Act, please can you tell me:
Prior to the pandemic in 2019, how many bus routes there were between Hammersmith gyratory and Heathfield Terrace, travelling along King Street and Chiswick High Road? What were the numbers of the bus routes and how many bus movements per day took place in each direction along each route.
In 2019, 4 day bus routes and 2 night bus routes ran along King Street and Chiswick High Road between Hammersmith Bus Station and Turnham Green Church (next to Heathfield Terrace). The following routes are listed below:
27 - (8 buses per hour; withdrawn between Chiswick Business Park and Hammersmith Grove on 09 March 2019);
267 - (6 buses per hour);
391 - (5 buses per hour; then 4 buses per hour from 07 December 2019; withdrawn on 11 December 2020; replaced between Turnham Green Church and Hammersmith Bus Station by route 110);
H91 - (6 buses per hour);
N9 - (night route); and
N27 - (night route; withdrawn between Chiswick Business Park and Hammersmith Bus Station on 09 March 2019).

In 2024, 3 day bus routes and 1 night bus route ran along King Street and Chiswick High Road between Hammersmith Bus Station and Turnham Green Church (next to Heathfield Terrace). The following routes are listed below:
110 - (4 buses per hour; extended from Richmond to Hammersmith Bus Station on 12 December 2020);
For each of the bus routes above, please can you provide the average journey time travelling in an easterly direction in the morning peak and in a westerly direction in the evening peak.

This shows minimum, maximum and average scheduled and actual run times by bus route and direction between Hammersmith Bus Station and Turnham Green Church. The data is presented over the last 12 months (24 February 2023 to 23 February 2024) by day type. Due to our reporting system, Standard days and Holidays are reported separately. The data is summarised for each day and for each day type.
