I initially wrote this request to Transport for London Complaints (ref 19465029), where I liaised with Jerry Whyte. He advised me to fill in an FOI.
Following the u-turn on the sacking of the Central Line tube driver who joined in with the 'Free Palestine' chants on 21 October, I read the following:
"The driver has also written to faith groups that we have been engaging with since October to apologise for the announcements and for the impact they had on some customers travelling on the train and in the wider community."
Please can you provide details about the faith groups he contacted and what their correspondence/replies were?

Our ref: FOI-4041-2324/GH Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 6 February 2024 asking for details about the faith groups contacted by a Central Line tube driver. Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require. The information you have requested forms part of the disciplinary action relating to the Tube driver, and is therefore personal information, which is exempt from disclosure in accordance with TfL’s obligations under Data Protection legislation and as required by section 40(2) of the FOI Act. This is because disclosure of this personal data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and lawful. It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’.
