You asked
Dear FOI people
Over the past 2 years Northfields Station has been closed due to work on the Northfields Depot and there are 2 more weekends coming up & so can you include those.
So-how many weekends has it been closed for this work & also how many times have trains had to terminate at Northfields due to track problems between Northfields and Heathrow.
Many thanks.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 6 February 2024 asking for information about Northfields station.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
Please find attached a spreadsheet showing the planned closures affecting Northfields station since the start of 2022.
With regards to the number of trains which terminated at Northfields, we do not record this information in a way which allows us to readily answer your question. Whilst we record all track related incidents and could search through reports to identify when the service was suspended, the work required to search and collate this information would exceed the ‘appropriate limit’ of £450 set by the Freedom of Information (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004.
Under section 12 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to comply with requests if we estimate that the cost of determining whether we hold the information, locating and retrieving it and extracting it from other information would exceed the appropriate limit. In this instance, we estimate that the time required to answer your request would exceed 18 hours which, at £25 per hour (the rate stipulated by the Regulations), exceeds the ‘appropriate limit’.
If it would be of assistance, we could provide the daily numbers of how many trains were scheduled to pass through that section of the line (from Northfields westbound) and how many trains actually passed through. This would give an indication of the service we were supposed to be providing according to our timetable, but didn’t provide due to incidents impacting the service. This would not fully answer your question, but if you would like this information please let me know.
If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
