Thank you for your requests received by Transport for London (TfL) on 5 February 2024 asking for information about apprentices.
Your requests have been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
Please note responses in relation to the DLR, Elizabeth Line and Overground relate to TfL’s work force and activity, not our contracted service providers
How many apprentices does the DLR, employ and what percentage are they of the total workforce? 0. TfL does not employ any apprentices in the DLR.
How many apprentices does the Elizabeth Line, employ and what percentage are they of the total workforce? TfL employs 12 apprentices in the Elizabeth Line, which is 0.04% of TfL’s total workforce (currently 27,768).
How many apprentices does the Overground employ and what percentage are they of the total workforce? 0.TfL does not employ any apprentices in the Overground.
How many placement days did the DLR provide to local schools in the last financial year? 0 as per records held centrally but some placements may occur locally and are not centrally recorded.
How many placement days did the Elizabeth Line provide to local schools in the last financial year? 0 as per records held centrally but some placements may occur locally and are not centrally recorded.
How many placement days did the Overground provide to local schools in the last financial year? 0 as per records held centrally but some placements may occur locally and are not centrally recorded.
