Please can I request data for road works and road closures on Swinton Street, London WC1X between 01/11/2023 and 01/02/2024. This is a road that runs between Kings Cross Road and Grays Inn Road, in London. The request is for information on when the road closure had started and ended and what notice TFL were provided of the closure, as well as where road signs were placed to notify drivers of the road closure. I also request information confirming when the congestion charging due to the road closure was suspended or amended.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 2 February 2024 asking for information about road works on Swinton Street.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
The closure was in place from 01:00am on 16 December 2023 to 6:00pm 24 December 2023.
The diversion was signed with signage placed along the diversion route. The route took motorists from Swinton Street, left into Swinton Place, then right along Acton Street to Gray’s Inn Road, turning right onto and along Gray’s Inn Road and out of the charging zone. The diversion route was fully signed with yellow diversion signs.
We were not provided information in time to turn off the cameras from the commencement date. We received information on 18 December 2023 and from that date the cameras along the diversion route were switched off.
