We answered
Our Ref: FOI-3955-2324
Thank you for your request received on 6 February 2024 asking for information about the associated costs of the repairs to Hammersmith Bridge.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.
We provided £2.97m to London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham in early 2023 which reflects one third of the estimated cost at the time of the “stabilisation” works (£8.9m total). This will enable the bridge to be used by pedestrians and cyclists.
We do not hold information on the additional costs incurred due to the bridge closure on bus service operating costs, lost passenger revenue, traffic signal re-timings etc. as these have not been calculated separately.
We are supporting the council to find a way to fully reopen Hammersmith Bridge to traffic as soon as possible.
If this is not the information you are looking for please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
