We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-3922-2324
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 30th January 2024 asking for information about TW10 salary ranges.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Please can I find out the salary range (highest and lowest paid) of employees in the pay scale group 'TW10', found within 'Maintenance - LUL Nominee BCV & SSL'. Please include number of employees within this band also. No specific details are required on the members of this salary band.”
I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
TfL does not release the exact salaries of staff, as this is deemed personal information which would be unfair on the individuals concerned to have placed in the public domain. Given the low number of staff employed in the TW10 pay group (which is four), it is not possible to answer your specific questions without revealing the exact salaries of the staff concerned. That information is therefore exempt from disclosure under section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act, which protects against the unfair release of personal data. However, I can inform you that the TW10 salary falls within the bracket £45,000 - £49,999, and that all staff employed within the TW10 pay group fall within this range.
If this is not the information you are looking for please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely,
David Wells FOI Case Officer FOI Case Management Team General Counsel Transport for London
