Specifically you asked:
“Please inform me as to how much public funding is going in to developing the "Community Building - Skills Centre" at these premises. I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
£60,000 of public funding has been invested into the conversion of the ground floor of Charter House, 158 Station Road into a fit-for-purpose skills training centre. Many employers across London and the UK are finding it hard to recruit skilled workers and there are entrenched levels of unemployment and lack of skills amongst residents living in some areas of the London Borough of Barnet. The skills training centre represents a key investment in the local infrastructure necessary to address those challenges by supporting hundreds of local residents to benefit from employer-led training programmes and direct job opportunities, not only potentially created by the proposed Edgware redevelopment but also by wider developments within Barnet and beyond.
