Hi, I'm analysing pedestrian movement in select districts across the world for my PhD dissertation. Could I please request the footpath network (in any GIS format) of King's Cross district?

We answered

TfL Ref: FOI-3860-2324

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 25th January 2024 asking for information about the footpath network in King’s Cross.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

Specifically you asked:

Hi, I'm analysing pedestrian movement in select districts across the world for my PhD dissertation. Could I please request the footpath network (in any GIS format) of King's Cross district?”.

I am afraid that TfL does not hold the requested information. The only access TfL has to such data is via the Ordnance Survey (OS). The OS may be willing to grant access to an educational authority via the ‘Public Sector Geospatial Agreement’ (PGSA) - more information is available in the links below:

https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/customers/public-sector

It is also possible that the London Borough of Camden may have information on this topic. FOI request to Camden Council can be made via its website here:

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely,
