We can, therefore, provide data (by month) showing the number of items reclaimed (by category – ie bag / mobile phone etc) and the average award paid to a black cab driver. I can also include a figure for the percentage of restorations where an additional award was offered by the customer and the average value for this. Given the manual nature of recalling this specific type of data, we may be limited to the two-year data range as mentioned by you – if we can go back further within the limits, then we certainly will.

Thank you for your revised request received on 6 March 2020 asking for information about the rewards offered to licensed black cab drivers who return items of lost property.
