We answered

TfL Ref: FOI-3769-2324

Thank you for your request which we received on 22 January 2024.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked for:

1. A copy of the most recent Croydon Tramlink/London Trams Working Timetable (ideally as PDF or another electronic format)

Please find attached the current tram timetable 15T.

Please note, due to ongoing issues regarding the availability of trams, we reduced the Peck Vehicle Requirement (PVR) from 30 to 28 trams in April last year, which allow our operators control staff a more consistent number of available trams for service control, leading to a more consistent service for our customers. The Tram numbers removed are as follows: Monday to Friday: 14 & 19 and Saturday: 13 & 18.

2. A set of the most recent London Underground Revenue and Fares Books (ideally as PDF or another electronic format) (ideally as PDF or another electronic format)

Please find attached the latest available copy of the Ticketing & Revenue Update (TRU) 150. Previous versions such as 149, 148 and more, are publicly available via the following links;

Please note that in accordance with TfL’s obligations under Data Protection legislation some personal data has been removed, as required by section 40(2) of the FOI Act. This is because disclosure of this personal data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and lawful. It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’.

3. Copies of the most recent London Underground staff publication The Knowledge, and the London Buses Big Red Book  (ideally as PDF or another electronic format) . If these are no longer in  production can I get the last editions that were done?

The latest edition of the Big Red Book is published here: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/transparency/freedom-of-information/foi-request-detail?referenceId=FOI-2785-2324

In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.

I’m afraid I don’t know what you mean by “copies of the most recent London Underground staff publication The Knowledge”. I’m not aware of this document being issued to LU staff. We do produce London Underground rulebooks, which detail various rules, instructions, protocols and procedures which LU operational staff are governed by. However, these are exempt from disclosure under sections 24 National Security) and 38 (Health and Safety) of the FOI Act. For more rationale behind the use of these exemptions, please read this recently published FOI response: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/transparency/freedom-of-information/foi-request-detail?referenceId=FOI-2733-2324

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely
