I would like to know the percentage of LED street lights on Red Routes, excluding illuminated signs and bollards, owned by the Mayor of London.

Thank you for your request of 27th March 2023 asking for information about LED street lighting on the Transport for London Road Network.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. 

Specifically you asked:

“I would like to know the percentage of LED street lights on Red Routes, excluding illuminated signs and bollards, owned by the Mayor of London.”

I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

Currently the percentage of LED street lights on Red Routes, excluding illuminated signs and bollards, is 62.6%. This will increase with the programmed LED replacement projects planned for the future.
