We answered
TfL Ref: 3601-1920
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 22 February 2020 asking for information about CSA2 salary.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked for the annual salary of a CSA2 position, salary progression and overtime.
The increase in salary mentioned would be promotion from CSA2 (£26,111) to CSA1 (£33,525). CSA2s become eligible to be trained as CSA1 after they pass probation but the waiting list for training is based on the date they take up a CSA2 position. Promotion to CSA1 is dependant on passing training and being medically fit to carry out the role. If both of these criteria are met the individual will be allowed to nominate for CSA1 positions. Waiting lists for CSA1 positions vary therefore the length of time it takes to secure a CSA1 role once nominated is impossible to estimate. Only once they have secured and commenced working in a CSA1 role would their salary increase to £33,525. Additional overtime cannot be guaranteed.
