Northen Line train speed

Request ID: FOI-3599-1819
Date published: 18 April 2019

You asked

I should be grateful if you would tell me at what speed trains are currently travelling both ways between South Wimbledon and Morden relative to their speed say 2 years ago. Also, at what speed they travel at night and how much longer that makes the journey between those 2 stations. It would be helpful to know when you expect the roughness of the tracks to be eliminated. a. how the current daytime speed of 56kph compares with the speed two years ago b. is the daytime speed 56kph on the SB as well as the NB? c. was the normal Night Tube speed the same as the daytime speed before the TSR? If not, what was it? d. how much quicker is the journey from Morden to South Wimbledon with the TSR? Many thanks
