What forms of ticket are accepted on London Buses during travel disruption? Does this cover contactless a nd oyster cards?

Our ref: FOI-3585-2324

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 09 January 2024 asking for information about ticketing on buses.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.

I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

Payment methods / tickets accepted on London buses during travel disruption (and in general) are:
•           Pay as you Go with Oyster or contactless
•           Travelcards on Oyster (or other smartcard) or as a printed ticket
•           Bus & Tram Passes on Oyster or a printed ticket.

In addition, free travel concessions such as the 60+ London Oyster photocard (within validity times).

Please note, Pay as you Go with Oyster or contactless is not technically considered a ticket.
