Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 28th March 2023 asking for information about Japanese knotweed at Westdown Road, London, E15.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act / Environmental Information Regulations and our information access policy. 

Specifically you asked:

Please can you confirm whether there is any Japanese knotweed at Westdown Road, London, E15 2DA or the back of this street where the railway is.”

I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

Westdown Road runs adjacent to the Central Line London Underground track for approximately 550 metres.  We are aware of one location on this stretch where there is Japanese knotweed, which is located at the signal depot at the end of Westdown Road.
