Please can you provide me with data on the number of advertising frames (including sheets, posters, billboards, digital signs etc...) on the Transport for London network in Greater London. I am looking for the annual estimates for the period 2019 to 2022. I would like the data reported by location type for example:
- London underground
- Bus
- Trams
- DLR
- overground

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked: Please can you provide me with data on the number of advertising frames (including sheets, posters, billboards, digital signs etc...) on the Transport for London network in Greater London. I am looking for the annual estimates for the period 2019 to 2022. I would like the data reported by location type for example: - London underground - Bus - Trams - DLR - overground
Please see below number of commercial advertising sites split by mode. The current figure for advertising panels on bus shelters on our estate is 10,129 of which 612 are digital. The figure constantly varies but hasn’t changed significantly over those years asked. On roadside, we have 256 panels in 203 locations. This varies slightly over time depending on occasional removals for operational reasons etc, but the number has not changed in any significant way over the relevant years. On the below figures, the exact number of in-charge advertising sites is subject to minor changes to facilitate the operations.
