Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 21 March 2019 asking for an average value per scheme for bond provision for S278 and S38 agreements.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

As previously advised, the estimated average bond value per scheme is £172,558.91 (based on records for 148 schemes). we do not bond S38 in general, as unless it is built of our satisfaction we will not adopt.
