TfL undertakes analysis of registered vehicle data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) which is derived from DVLA data with additional information from the motor industry, compiled by the SMMT, and it:
· Provides compliance of vehicles registered to London addresses based on Euro standard, fuel type and age of vehicle; · Includes vehicles registered to both residential and business addresses; · Does not account for whether those vehicles are used or kept in London.
The SMMT data available to TfL is based on the registrations each year and does not represent a snapshot of what is registered in any month. The “latest” we have of this is from 2021, which is now out of date.
