LONDON ROYAL DOCKS, Albert Island
Request ID: FOI-3495-1819
Date published: 20 March 2019
You asked
We have obtained the Highway Boundary map for the site which shows that the Woolwich Manor Way is owned by TfL. There are three bridges located on this road. Two of them for the Docks and One of them for an underpass.
If this is not a TfL road, could you please confirm how far along this road stretch TfL has the control of?
Could you please double check your records for the ownership and the level data for the Bridges/Underpass?
We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-3495-1819
Thank you for your further email which we received on 13 March 2019, asking about the bridges in Woolwich Manor Way .
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we hold some of the information you require.
Please note bridge 2 and the underpass are the same structure. I would like to clarify that a bridge may be on the Transport for London Road Network (TLRN) but it does not mean TfL is the owner, only that we maintain the highway elements of the bridge.
Bridge 1 carries the TLRN and is called A117/00.20. It was renamed as Sir Steve Redgrave Bridge. It is owned by RoDMA.
Bridge 2 / underpass is known as A117/00.30 Woolwich Manor Fixed Bridge. It carries the TLRN and is owned and maintained by TfL. Please find the attached construction drawing that we hold for this structure.
Bridge 3 carries the TLRN and is called A117/00.40/1 Bascule Bridge. It is owned by RoDMA.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely
