Under the Freedom of Information ACT, can you please provide me with the number of permanent TfL staff who are on compressed hours contacts of employment. For example working 35 hours in four days.

Thank you for your request received on 10 February 2020 asking for information about staff on compressed hours.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.

All employees can request flexible working arrangements after 26 continuous weeks service. This can take the form or condensed hours, job sharing and working from home. All requests from employees will be carefully considered with the outcome being based on business requirements. However, it is recognised that the ability to support flexible working practices will vary across departments.

Please find attached information on the number of people who have a formal arrangement to work 35 hours a week over less than 5 days. Please note that staff can also have informal arrangements for flexible working.
