Since in the past you’ve mentioned that the new electric buses are coming onto the route 86 in Q1 2024 back in the summer. Coming into 2024, do you have a date for when the new electrics will be in service? As well as do you know what bus model/type it’ll be and will any other bus routes will share the electrics in North street bus garage please?

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on30 December 2023 asking for information about new buses on bus route 86.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. Currently, we anticipate that the conversion of Route 86 to electric will take place in the first quarter of this year.
No contract awards have been made for other routes to be converted to Electric Vehicles at North Street Garage at the current time; although it is intended that the whole network will have converted to zero emission buses by the end of 2034.
