Freedom Pass maps

Request ID: FOI-3449-1819
Date published: 27 March 2019

You asked

The attached Freedom Pass map is dated November 2018. What does the code 4.12.2018(FPD) on it mean? Please send me, under and above the Freedom of information Act, every other version of this map, including unpublished and interactive and GIS and true-scale versions.

We answered

TfL Ref: FOI-3449-1819

Thank you for your email received by Transport for London (TfL) on 13 March 2019.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested. The maps are produced externally for TfL. We do not hold earlier editions as each update utilizes the same file and gets updated. The diagram is not produced in GIS format, such as geographical maps, and therefore there is no ‘true to scale’ version. There are no interactive versions produced.

Regarding the code 4.12.2018(FPD), it’s the date the map was produced, followed by ‘FPD’ which means Freedom Pass Diagram. The ‘effective from’ date is always clearly indicated in the text above this.

As these maps are primarily produced for the London Councils, then copies in printed form may be available from them.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
