Thank you for your request which we received on 28 December 2024, asking about TfL’s compliance with the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012, regarding the Amended Surveillance Camera Code of Practice.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

I can confirm that TfL complies with this legislation. With regard to the Amended Surveillance Camera Code of Practice, please see this link https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/privacy-and-cookies/cctv which explains that TfL has chosen to comply with the Code, although we are not a local authority subject to a requirement to do so.
