I wish to know how many active members (those with a yearly subscription, not casual members) of the Santander Cycles are currently active.
I belive that the number in the quarterly performance reports (https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/cycle-hire-performance) includes both type of users, as well as those whose membership has expired.

Thank you for your request received by us on 27 December 2023, asking for information about cycle hire members. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
I wish to know how many active members (those with a yearly subscription, not casual members) of the Santander Cycles are currently active.
There were 164,000 active members in 2023, defined as customers who have used the Cycle Hire scheme within the last 12 months. This includes annual, monthly and Single Ride members.
