Dear TfL, I am requesting any information about consultation leading to changes in the following bus routes: 346, 347, 496, 497, 498, 499 For example, leading up to the extension of route 496 from Romford Market to The Brewery in 2003, from The Brewery to Queen's Hospital in 2006 if you hold this. I am also requesting consultation leading up to the decision to potentially remove routes 346 and 347, and extend route 497 to Upminster. Thanks

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 11th March 2023 asking for information about past consultations on bus routes in the Harold Wood/Romford/Upminster area.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. 

Specifically you asked:

I am requesting any information about consultation leading to changes in the following bus routes:346, 347, 496, 497, 498, 499

For example, leading up to the extension of route 496 from Romford Market to The Brewery in 2003, from The Brewery to Queen's Hospital in 2006 if you hold this.

I am also requesting consultation leading up to the decision to potentially remove routes 346 and 347, and extend route 497 to Upminster.”

I am afraid that given the passage of time since these consultations took place TfL no longer holds the requested information. Our data retention policy in this regard is to hold such material for 10 years only.
