How many people in total held a nominee pass in 2019? Please also provide a breakdown in the types of nominee passes.

Thank you for your request received on 31 January 2020 asking for information about nominee passes.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.

The provision of travel passes encourages all employees and nominees to use the public transport system and when on it employees are expected to act as ambassadors for TfL, helping ensure the security of the system and helping assist our customers where necessary.

The retired nominee pass is eligible to members of TfL staff who have 20 years of service or more and who are over the age of 50.

Please find the number of nominee passes held as of December 2019 in the table below:

*3rd Party Nominees are for the nominees of employees who work on services that are run on our behalf that are not directly employed by TfL (i.e. London Overground, DLR).
