Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 6 March 2019 asking for information about London Underground Customer Service Assistants roles and salaries.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.
Please find the answers to the questions below:
1) Please would be able to tell me the average salary for a Customer Service Assistant 1 is?
2) Please would you tell me what the starting salary for a Customer Service Assistant 1 is?
Customer Service Assistant (CSA1) roles are spot rates (i.e. everyone gets the same) so a starting salary will be the same as an average salary. The equates to £33,525.
3) Please would you be able to share with me the sample roster of shifts for a Customer Service Assistant 2?
We do not hold a ‘sample’ roster to cover a CSA shift as these would vary depending on what areas the CSA work in.
4) Please would you be able to tell me how many Customer Service Assistants 2 have become Customer Service Assistant 1 via any means in the past 12 months.
In the last 12 months there have been 247.
If this is not the information you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely
