You asked
Further to TfL's response to our previous FOI Request (TfL Ref: FOI-1651-2324), we are not aware of any update from TfL on the timing of the closures of Colindale Station. However, we note that the convenience store is going to permanently close before Christmas and signage for replacement bus has already been put up at some bus stops. Kindly share with us, Colindale Station Redevelopment Concern Group, the timetable for the station closures and the details of the replacement bus services. Thanks

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 15 December 2023 asking for information about Colindale Station Closure.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
As recently as last week TfL received confirmation of Levelling Up Funding for the upgrade of Colindale and Leyton stations, meaning both stations will become step-free for the first time. A joint press release has been issued confirming work will be starting in early 2024 following the announcement. The work to rebuild Colindale station will require partial closures of the Northern line between Edgware and Golders Green next year, and the temporary closure of Colindale station. The first track closure between Golders Green and Edgware will be from Tuesday 2 April until Thursday 11 April 2024, to enable work that can only take place when trains aren’t running. The temporary closure of Colindale station will start in summer2024. Ahead of the works we will ensure detailed information is available so customers are aware of their alternative travel options and can plan ahead. Updates will be made via our dedicated webpage and through targeted communications to local residents, businesses and customers. In order to facilitate the delivery of the project, parts of the existing station including the area where the convenience store is located will need to be reconfigured; this has resulted in the closure of the convenience shop. The signage for replacement buses described is not associated with the Colindale station project. The first closure is scheduled for April (as above) and planning and confirmation of the rail replacement bus provision is ongoing, meaning the project is not in a position to erect signage around rail replacement provision at this point.
