Under the Freedom of Information Act, could you please provide a digital summary (total number) of all health and safety related incidents in 2018 that involved Authority owned buses/welfare vehicles fitted with a wheelchair passenger lift (tail lift) - that were attributable to the passenger lift in any way?

According to our records our Dial-a-Ride (DaR) operation reported one safety-related incident involving the lifting device attached to one of our vehicles while transporting a customer to their home in 2018. The lifting device failed to operate while the customer was still on the vehicle meaning they needed assistance from the emergency services to leave the vehicle. No injuries were sustained. DaR no longer uses any vehicles with tail lifts.

TfL does not operate any other bus vehicles with tail lifts.
