Response: A the equipment the make and model that the motorbike testing centres use to test motorbike emissions TfL does not specify the make or model of equipment to be used but an approved test centre would need to have a suitable chassis dynamometer for a powered two wheel vehicle, capable of being adjusted for appropriate road-load coefficients. It must also be equipped with an electronic driver aid to allow the tester to accurately follow the drive cycle speed trace. Adequate cooling fans and exhaust extraction is also needed. Emissions analysis must be by a minimum of 5-gas analyser with the capability to report total emissions over the drive cycle in g/km. B motorcar emission testing centres in the UK There are currently no emissions test centres in the UK for testing of passenger cars subject to the ULEZ. Other emissions test laboratories do exist around the country. C how the motorbike testing centres inform TfL of the result of the tests By daily e-mail submission of test results to Transport for London.
