Go-Ahead told residents at a meeting on 8.12.23 that TFL sent them a letter where TFL endorsed their proposed planning request (sent 6 weeks ago) for a 40+ bus depot to be built at a recently purchased site 220 Garth Road. As one of the many residents opposed to this I would like a copy of this letter emailed to me to understand other stakeholders views and what has and has not been considered in respect to traffic flow.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 13 December 2023 asking for information about the planning of a bus depot.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.
I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
Please find the letter written by TfL in support of a new bus garage in London (specifically Garth Road). It is important that TfL supports existing and new bus garages as this enables the operation of a competitive and cost-effective bus network. Bus Garage provision is also supported in the London Plan.
In accordance with TfL’s obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), some personal data has been removed from this publication, as required by section 40 of the FOI. This is because disclosure of this personal data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle of the GDPR, which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and lawful. It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’.
This exemption to the right of access to information is an absolute exemption and not subject to an assessment of whether the public interest favours use of the exemption
