Pertaining to FOI-1691-2324 and the statement “It is a statutory requirement that any net revenue generated by our road charging schemes (the ULEZ, LEZ or the Congestion Charge) is reinvested back into London’s transport network, including investing in improving transport links in outer London. All money received from the ULEZ is reinvested into improving London’s public transport network, such as expanding bus routes in outer London”. Please can you provide details / examples of where specifically ULEZ proceeds have been invested including description of expenditure / planned expenditure and value of expense incurred / expected to be incurred.

Whilst our net proceeds from the ULEZ scheme are not recorded in the format as specified above, please see the attached‘Low Emission Zones Charging Scheme Four-Year General Programme for Applying Net Proceeds’, which outlines TfL’s delivery programme areas on where net proceeds from the ULEZ scheme will be applied to.
