A406 average speed cameras
Request ID: FOI-3248-1819
Date published: 12 March 2019
You asked
Hello
Please can I request to know how many people have been prosecuted as a result of driving above the set limits within the zone between Northolt and Bounds Green. I’m asking this as I use this road daily and haven’t seen any difference to traffic conditions since they were introduced. I’m also aware these cameras were a trail and I like to know what data you’ve collected to justify their continued use.
Thanks.

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request of 28th February 2019 asking for information about prosecutions for speeding between Northolt and Bounds Green, and the use of speeding cameras on that section of road.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. Specifically you asked:

TfL does not hold the requested information. TfL does not own speed cameras on London’s roads, and the prosecution of offenders is principally a matter for the Metropolitan Police. FOI requests to the Metropolitan Police can be made via its website through the following link: https://www.met.police.uk/foi-ai/accessing-information/
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
