We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-3227-2223
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 2nd March 2023 asking for information about Elizabeth Line station usage.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Could you please provide monthly station usage figures for Abbey Wood, Woolwich and Canary Wharf Elizabeth line stations for the past 12 months broken down by month?”
I can confirm that we hold the information you require, which is provided in the attached spreadsheet. Please note the following:
the data shows the total tap counts for all the requested stations from February 2022.
Abbey Wood is a National Rail station and as well as the Elizabeth Line it includes Thameslink and Southeastern railway data. We have no way of splitting the data.
this phase of the Elizabeth Line was opened in May 2022, hence the small numbers showing for Canary Wharf and Woolwich before then (the taps that are recorded are likely to be staff).
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely,
