You asked

There have been four collisions at this junction between 2010 and 2017, two of which have resulted in the killings of two pedestrians, aged 12 and 15. Three of the four collisions involved buses/coaches. I wish to see the road collision studies for these collisions to examine the contributory causes and potential countermeasures and what action TfL and Brent Council have taken and are taking.

Thank you for your request of 21st February 2019 asking for information about road accidents on the junction of Milverton Road and Brondesbury Park Road.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. Specifically you asked:

There have been four collisions at this junction between 2010 and 2017, two of which have resulted in the killings of two pedestrians, aged 12 and 15. Three of the four collisions involved buses/coaches.

I wish to see the road collision studies for these collisions to examine the contributory causes and potential countermeasures and what action TfL and Brent Council have taken and are taking.”

In answering your request we looked for collisions at or within 50m of the junction of Milverton Road with Brondesbury Park and found three recorded incidents in the period 1st January 2010 to 31st December 2017.

I attach the interpreted listing report for these three collisions for the quoted period.

Note that Milverton Road and Brondesbury Park are not part of the “red route” road network that TfL manages. Rather, they are the responsibility of the London Borough of Brent. You may wish to contact the Council to see if any particular measures are being taken at this location to prevent future accidents.
