Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 26th December 2024 asking for information about bus routes 718 and 719.

 

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. 

 

Specifically you asked:

 

Can you advise the dates when routes 718 and 719 ran in 2024 and why you charged fares for passengers to use these services as indicated in roadside publicity”.

 

I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

 

The dates that these rail replacement buses operated in 2024 are as follows:

 

Route 718 operated on 17 - 18 February; 27 - 28 April; 03 – 08 August; 16 November, and; 28 November.

 

Route 719 operated 05 – 08 August.

 

Regarding why fares were charged, customers need to be in possession of a valid ticket when using any rail replacement bus service, and this includes Routes 718 and 719.
