FOI request detail

Amount of All Line Rovers sold by TfL in 2022

Request ID: FOI-3094-2223
Date published: 27 February 2023

You asked

I would like to request the amount of All Line Rovers sold by all Elizabeth line and London Overground ticket offices and ticket machines (with results separated between Elizabeth line ticket offices, London Overground ticket offices, Elizabeth line ticket machines and London Overground ticket machines) in the 2022 calendar year (01/01/2022 - 31/12/2022). The data should include both 7 day and 14 day First and Standard Class All Line Rovers but separated to show the difference in number of sales of each type of All Line Rover. The data should also be separated to show sale numbers at each station.

We answered

TfL Ref: FOI-3094-2223

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 19th February 2023 asking for information about All Line Rover tickets.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

Specifically you asked:

I am afraid that TfL does not hold the requested information. This is National Rail ticket data which is held by the Rail Delivery Group (RDG) rather than TfL. Note that both the Elizabeth Line and London Overground are operated by private companies under concession agreements with TfL, and those companies operate the stations and sell these tickets. The data flows directly to the RDG’s systems and not via TfL. Should you wish to contact the RDG you can do so via its website here:

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
