Thank you for your email received by Transport for London (TfL) on 12 February 2019.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm we do hold the information you require. You asked:

Please find the attached spreadsheet which shows the requested incident data from May 2015 to February 2019. There are 205 different incident types. All incidents causing delay are recorded and attributed to a cause. For a list of stations with station codes, please see http://www.railwaycodes.org.uk/crs/CRS0.shtm

Since the start of TfL Rail in May 2015, the train punctuality at destinations has improved by 3% from 91% to 94%, more than the national average of 86%. Please see the below graph for comparison. LSE is London South East. The graph is showing the performance for all train operators in the London South East area.

All incidents and delays on the network are monitored and investigated and any practicable improvements are identified and implemented to minimise the impact on customers.

We are continually working to improve train performance via a number of initiatives, by working closely with other train operators and Network Rail, as well as introducing new trains with more passenger capacity and providing extensive training and support for drivers, platform staff and all other staff.

Ilford depot has to accommodate a significant amount of trains for Greater Anglia, TfL Rail and London Overground services. The depot is a constraint on the network and therefore continues to be a location where there is a focus on performance improvement work. We recognise that there are issues here and will work with other providers and Bombardier to continuously reduce the impact that any incidents here have on our customers.
