Please could you release the latest annual capital expenditure estimates related to the Improving the Tube programme, as well as list the current projects underway that are officially associated with the Improving the Tube programme.

Thank you for your request of 17th February 2023 asking for information about spending on the London Underground.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked the following:
“Please could you release the latest annual capital expenditure estimates related to the Improving the Tube programme, as well as list the current projects underway that are officially associated with the Improving the Tube programme.”
TfL does not hold the requested information as there is no formal or single “Improving the Tube programme”. This was a historic, generic term for capital investment across London Underground, covering both enhancements and renewals. However, that said, note that information about capital spending on the London Underground can be found in our Business Plan (see here: https://content.tfl.gov.uk/2023-business-plan-acc.pdf), our Investment Programme Reports (see here: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/investment-programme-report) and our Annual Report and Accounts (see here: https://content.tfl.gov.uk/tfl-annual-report-and-statement-of-accounts-2021-22.pdf - see page 90 and 91 for example).
