Pool Car Technology, Telematics, and GPS Tracking:
- Please provide the name of the company or companies responsible for providing pool car technology, telematics, and/or GPS tracking services for TfL's fleet of vehicles.

TfL’s Commercial and Procurement department manages the contracts.
- When does the current contract expire?
A procurement process is currently underway for a new contract as the existing arrangements expired via the vehicle leases. Vehicle Key Management:
- How does TfL manage vehicle keys for its fleet of vehicles
Keys are managed by the driver and vehicle custodians.
- More specifically, are live keys left inside vehicles similarly to Zipcars, or is there technology to block the immobiliser and allow only designated drivers in?
No keys are left in vehicles. The driver retains the key.Grey Fleets and Electric Vehicles:
- What is the annual expenditure on grey fleets (employees using their personal vehicles and charging back for mileage) within TfL?
We do not hold this information.
- Could you please provide information on TfL's plans and initiatives related to transitioning to electric vehicles in the future?
We are transitioning our operational support fleet of approximately 1,000 vehicles to zero emission, in line with the Mayor’s Transport Strategy and London Environment Strategy. We are on track to have no petrol or diesel cars in our fleet by 2025, with plans underway to ensure all vehicles under 3.5t will be zero emission capable by 2030. We are also exploring options for our fleet of 35 Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs), to identify the most suitable method for these to become fossil fuel free from 2030.Specific Vehicle Information:
- Please provide details on the technology used for tracking the branded TfL vehicle with registration LR69 AYC.
The vehicle has a GPS tracker fitted supplied by Teletrac Navman.
- What is the purpose or usage of this specific vehicle, especially concerning its recent sighting on Rectory Road, N16?
The vehicle is used for travelling to stations, depots, and worksites to carry out inspections, work and management functions.
