Hi there
I am wondering if you have data for total bus and cycle lane (separate) mileage for each year going back 20 years?
Any help greatly appreciated
Thanks
We answered
TfL Ref: 2994-1819
Thank you for your emails received by us on 8 and 13 February 2019 asking for information about the total mileage of all bus and cycle lanes in the London area annually over the last 20 years
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.
Unfortunately we do not hold the cycle lane information you have requested as we do not hold audited/tracked mileage of cycle lanes year by year in the format requested
Nor do we hold bus lane data going back 20 years and due to current technical limitations we are currently unable to provide a year by year breakdown of this information. However, a Mayor’s Question Time response in November 2006 published on the GLA website stated the following: ‘There are 175 miles of bus lanes in Greater London, of which 5 miles were implemented in 2005/06. There are 16 miles of bus lanes within the Congestion Charging Zone’ https://www.london.gov.uk/questions/2006/2747.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
