Request ID: FOI-2989-2122 Date published: 08 April 2022
You asked
I would like TfL's Legible London (the walking wayfinding signs) map of London, preferably with the neighbourhoods outlined or labelled, like they are on the physical signs around London, but on a larger scale. They're not going to be used for any commercial purposes.
We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-2989-2122
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 24th March 2022 asking for a Legible London map of London.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“I would like TfL's Legible London (the walking wayfinding signs) map of London, preferably with the neighbourhoods outlined or labelled, like they are on the physical signs around London, but on a larger scale.”
I am afraid that TfL does not hold the requested information. There is no single, comprehensive such “map of London”. Rather, each map produced is bespoke and developed specifically for each of the local totems that people see on the street. However, that said, if there is a particular area of London in which you are interested then we may be able to provide image files accordingly. The maximum area of coverage that can be produced is approximately 2.5km x 2.5km. More information about the Legible London scheme - including a direct email contact ([email protected]) - can be found on our website here:
