Dear Transport for London, I am an Architecture student currently using the old York Road tube Station platform and the signal box at Kings Cross station for my project. -I would like to arrange a visit to have a close look and take photos of the area where the signal box is located as it is gated? -I would like any technical drawings of the whole site?

Thank you for your email received by us on 18 January 2018 asking for plans and drawings of York Road Station as part of your architecture project.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked for the following:

I am an Architecture student currently using the old York Road tube Station platform and the signal box at Kings Cross station for my project.

-I would like to arrange a visit to have a close look and take photos of the area where the signal box is located as it is gated?

Electronic copies of detailed plans and drawings for the Underground are managed by our Core Asset Information (CAI) service. This operational service is restricted for security reasons but you can apply for drawings (pre-2000) of York Road station by using the ‘Authority to view’ form attached and submitting your application with a supporting letter from your tutor.

The Museum library in Covent Garden holds published information about stations and infrastructure across the TfL network, some of which is illustrated.
