We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-2977-1920
Thank you for your email received by Transport for London (TfL) on 6 January 2020.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. You asked:
What is TfL's estimate of the length of time that the Hayes train line south of Lewisham will need to be closed in (a) full, or (b) in sections, as part of converting this section of a Network Rail line to become part of the Bakerloo Line as proposed in TfL's recent consultation on the extension of the Bakerloo Line?
Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested.
A possible further extension of the Bakerloo line beyond Lewisham to Hayes and Beckenham Junction is not currently a confirmed part of the proposed Bakerloo line extension. A public consultation on the proposed Bakerloo line extension was held between 14 October and 22 December 2019. As part of this consultation we invited views on a possible further extension of the route beyond Lewisham to Hayes and Beckenham Junction. This would involve a conversion of the National Rail line via Catford to Hayes to an Underground operation. Subject to the outcome of the consultation, we may undertake further work to consider how such a further extension could be delivered.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
